Edubirdie.com is a custom writing company. Their platform is excellently-designed, easy to navigate and deserves credit. This site runs a bidding system where you can view the qualifications and ratings of bidding writers before placing your order. The homepage of the site greets prospective users with niceties such as positive testimonials which show 5-star ratings. Details on the website show a few of their writers who are professors and Ph.D. holders with 95-100% success rates.
Despite its attractive features and popularity among students around the world, we still came across some negative things about the company during our edubirdie review which left us bewildered. This prompted us to check out things for ourselves by investigating and putting up an objective edubirdie.com review.
Being a platform that claims to have 200+ professional writers, Edubirdie.com handles writing projects such as:
- Essays (of any type)
- Research papers
- Book/movie review
- Case studies
- Research proposal
- Term paper
- Annotated bibliography
- Capstone project and more.
The above isn’t an exhaustive list of all the assignment services that the writing company offers. In fact, during the process of making your quote, you’ll find a drop-down of tens of academic writing tasks which you can hire the company to do.
Prices and Discounts
Although there is a section on the homepage which says prices start from $18 per page (which in the first place is expensive), one of the shortcomings of the site is that there is no definite pricing model as the price depends solely on the bidding of writers on your order. But what is certain is; you will never get a job done at a price less than $18 per page.
We filled a form for a seven-page essay and the bid we got from three writers ranged between $157-$232. That’s an average of $27 per page. After accepting the writer, you have to add funds via PayPal, Visa, AE or MC, make a deposit and pay the balance only when you are satisfied with the assignment, which is a good thing. However, the site offers none of its customers any form of discount. So be prepared to pay in full.
Corroborating an edubirdie review from a frustrated customer, the argumentative essay paper on euthanasia (as simple as the topic is) which we got wouldn’t even earn any student a B, despite the acclaimed doctoral qualification of the writer.
The writer asked for 10 hours and the submission came after 13 hours and 55 minutes. Besides, the article had 8% duplicate which links to a Wikipedia article. It was needless asking for a revision, even though it’s free and you can ask for it until you get what you want.
Of course, we wouldn’t come to a generalization over the findings made on a single writer. However, further checks online show most of their customers complain of plagiarism and regret using the site. One reviewer even claimed the paper he ordered from the site got him a woeful 10/35 score. Another reviewer claims their writers are not native English-speakers but they are mostly Russians. Unfortunately, you will not get a refund on edubirdie.
Edubirdie has a telephone line you can call, email and a live chat feature. Their customer representatives are quick, nice and responsive. They reply to messages within a few minutes.
Edubirdie.com has a terrible online reputation. A check on a few customer reviews on the internet will only show you several red flags warning students not to waste their money and time ordering papers that would earn them poor grades on the site. Edubirdie is rated a miserable 1.5/5 by Rank My Writer and 3.9/10 by Top Dissertations. Also, edubirdie.com is rated 2.9/5 by Scam Fighter. Words on Reddit show that their reviews are either negative or fake. According to Scam Fighter, the pictures of their writers and their proclaimed qualifications are fake.
The writing is on the wall! Based on our edubirdie.com review and other pieces of evidence we’ve gathered, it’s needless to say the site doesn’t come close to the list of the best essay writing companies. Don’t be tricked by the testimonials and the positive reviews you find on the site. You should avoid them like a plague!
